ALTURAS: Elderly Man on Bicycle Injured by Hit-and-run Driver on Highway 299

ALTURAS, California (May 29, 2014) —  An elderly man on a bicycle was suffered significant injuries Thursday morning in a hit-and-run car accident on the eastbound California State Route 299 in this small town just northeast of Red Bluff, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

Modoc County Sheriff Officers and CHP are now searching for the hit-and-run driver in a black vehicle with stickers on the window and tool box.

“Police will investigate this crash in an effort to apprehend the suspect to bring him or her to justice,” said Attorney James Johnson.
