Alvaro Vasquez, 61, Killed in Palm Springs Pedestrian Crash on Ramon Road
PALM SPRINGS, CA (September 10, 2022) – Alvaro Vasquez was killed after a pedestrian crash on Ramon Road in Palm Springs.
The coroner’s office identified the 61-year-old Palm Springs man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Alvaro Vasquez was walking across westbound Ramon Road near Calle Amigos in Palm Springs. At the same time, a vehicle was going west.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Police said for an unknown reason, the driver hit him. The Desert Sun and My News LA wrote that the crash occurred on September 9 shortly after 8:30 p.m. near Sunrise Way.
Alvaro Vasquez sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Paramedics arrived and soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officials forced a stretch of Ramon Road to shut down for a time after the collision.
