Amalya Sukiasyan, 40, Killed in Sacramento County Pedestrian Crash
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (April 19, 2021) – A pedestrian accident killed Amalya Sukiasyan in Sacramento County
Family said the 40-year-old Sacramento woman died following the crash which occurred last week. It happened on Friday night, April 16, in Sacramento County.
The incident began when a vehicle struck a pedestrian for an unknown reason near the intersection of Folsom Boulevard and Bradshaw Road. Two more cars then stopped to assist and help the victim.

The California Highway Patrol said all three vehicles blocked the street. Another car approached, failed to stop in time and hit Amalya Sukiasyan and another good Samaritan.
The two were tending to the pedestrian when the vehicle struck them. Officers affirmed that Amalya Sukiasyan died as a result of the pedestrian accident.
CBS Sacramento and KCRA News reported the collision at around 8:15 p.m. The other person hit and the pedestrian involved in the first crash were treated for moderate injuries they sustained.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver who hit Sukiasyan stopped and stayed at the crash site. The motorist cooperated with the officials.
CHP soon forced the road to shut down for a time following the collision. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
