Woman Killed in Apple Valley Head-on Crash Identified
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (April 15, 2019) –– Amanda Hinman, 28, of Apple Valley, has been identified as the passenger killed in a head-on crash Sunday afternoon on Bear Valley Road.
The collision took place about 2 p.m., just west of Deep Creek Road. Hinman was a passenger in a gray Toyota Sienna that was traveling eastbound on Bear Valley Road. The vehicle reportedly veered to the left and crossed over into oncoming traffic on the westbound side of Bear Valley Road. The Toyota crashed head-on into a white Chevrolet Blazer before it continued across lanes and hit a white Nissan Rogue that was also in the westbound lanes.
The driver of the Toyota suffered major injuries and was transported by helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Meanwhile, driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Mary Medical Center. The occupants who were in the Nissan were treated for minor injuries, but the driver was taken by ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center.
