1 Dead, Several Hurt in Collision on SR-29
Napa, CA (July 28, 2022) – Amanda Peters, a 21-year-old Sonoma resident, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 29.
On Saturday, 20-year-old Susan Jevarian was behind the wheel of a Cadillac traveling on the highway in Napa. The Sonoma-Index Tribune reported Jevarian drove south in the northbound lanes of SR-29. Our sources indicated the wrong-way vehicle ended up crashing head-on into a Toyota. Authorities added another vehicle, a Tesla, was involved in the collision.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 101:10 p.m. First responders found a female passenger in the Cadillac unconscious. According to the article published online, an ambulance rushed the woman to Queen of the Valley Hospital. On Tuesday, the patient sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The Napa California Highway Patrol group identified the fatal victim as Amanda Peters.
Officials said the occupants in the Toyota and Tesla also sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
DUI Suspect Arrested in Napa Deadly Accident
Meanwhile, officers mentioned Susan Jevarian showed signs of intoxication during the investigation process. Police then arrested the woman for driving under the influence.
Detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the unfortunate event.
