Apple Valley Woman, 45, Dies in Crash at Seaforth and Newhall

HESPERIA, Calif. (March 5, 2025) – Amanda Ross Wehnerlugo, 45, of Apple Valley, died in a collision Thursday at Seaforth Street and Newhall Avenue in Hesperia.

The traffic accident occurred around 11 p.m. on Thursday, February 27th, 2025, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner.

The drivers involved included a blue Subaru sedan and a blue Ford pickup truck. The Apple Valley woman was ejected from the pickup truck when it overturned in the collision.

Paramedics pronounced Amanda Ross Wehnerlugo dead at the scene shortly after their arrival.

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old Hesperia woman driving the Subaru sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a local trauma center, Victor Valley News Group reports. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.

Finally, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are heading up the investigation into the tragedy.
