Amazon Truck Hits Toddler in Irvine Apartment Community on Estancia IRVINE, Calif. (August 17, 2022) – An Amazon delivery van struck and killed a 23-month-old girl in an Irvine apartment complex in the 300 block of Estancia near Hicks Canyon Park.

The fatal pedestrian accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. on August 16th, according to a news release by the Irvine Police Department.

Both police and Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded to Estancia Apartment Homes near Hicks Canyon Park, according to MyNewsLA.

Sadly, the little girl suffered major injuries and died in the apartment complex parking lot, police said.

The driver of the Amazon delivery van stopped and cooperated with authorities. The motorist is a third-party contractor for Amazon and police do not suspect drugs and or alcohol were factors.
