Amber Alvarez, 36, Killed in Moreno Valley Hit-and-Run Crash
MORENO VALLEY (November 28, 2018) – A pedestrian killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident on Old 215 Frontage Road Monday night has been identified as Amber Alvarez, according to The Press Enterprise.
The 36-year-old Moreno Valley woman was a victim of a tragic collision which took place on November 26, south of Cottonwood Avenue.
As per the article, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Alvarez was struck by a vehicle on Old 215 Frontage Road.
Suspect Phillip Jones, 53, Arrested For Hit-and-Run
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and found Alvarez who was left suffering from major injuries. She was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the driver of the car involved did not stop to render aid and fled. The suspect, 53-year-old Phillip Jermaine Jones, was later located and arrested by the officers.
The Moreno Valley man was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of hit and run with serious injury or death. The investigation is ongoing.
