Amber Chavez, 40, Hit-and-Run Suspect in San Jose Fatal Collision
San Jose, CA (April 26, 2021) – Police arrested 40-year-old Amber Chavez in relation with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on S First Street.
According to CBS News, Amber Chavez was in some way involved in a carjacking in San Jose. Subsequently, the suspect allegedly intentionally struck with a vehicle a 33-year-old pedestrian. The horrible crash took place in the 1100 block of S First Street.
Pedestrian Killed in San Jose Hit-and-Run Crash
Officials said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the wreck. Sadly, the man died at a hospital on April 16, Friday.
Meanwhile, investigators reportedly located and arrested the suspect, Amber Chavez. On April 20, police took the man into custody on suspicion of carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon.
Additional details on the tragic incident remained undisclosed. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
