Fatal Calabasas Pedestrian Accident 101 Freeway
CALABASAS, Calif. (Oct. 21, 2020) — Amber Garcia, 25, died Wednesday in a fatal Calabasas pedestrian accident on the Ventura 101 Freeway in Calabasas.
The collision took place on the freeway about 8 a.m. just east of Las Virgenes Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Today, Amber Garcia was identified by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner as the woman who died.
Meanwhile, CHP officials are investigating what led to the collision. The woman was reportedly running in traffic lanes on the eastbound side of the 101 Freeway. At least one motorist struck the her in the fast lane, but it’s unknown if there were other vehicles involved. It’s unknown why the pedestrian was in the roadway.

The number one lane will be closed down for several hours due to the CHP investigation. Unfortunately, Garcia suffered major injuries and died at the crash scene.
Further investigation into the deadly car accident is underway. A Go Fund Me fundraiser has been created to support the victim’s family.
