At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Interstate 40 Freeway Sunday
Amboy, CA (September 26, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 40, also known as Needles Freeway.
Initial records indicated two vehicles collided in the westbound side of the freeway in Amboy. Officials described the automobiles involved in the wreck as a green semi truck pulling a white trailer, and a Jeep.
The force from the impact caused the Jeep to rollover near the mile marker 80 on I-40. Rescue teams found the Jeep flipped on its roof.
Deadly Car and Truck Accident in Amboy, September 26
Shortly after 3:10 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to at least one person, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal car and truck accident in Amboy happened.
