Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Simpson Lane

Marysville, CA (May 3, 2023) –  Officials found Amery Sweany, a 27-year-old woman, lifeless along the side of Simpson Lane on April 27, Thursday.

Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Marysville

The FOX40 News reported someone called the police about a women lying near the 1700 block of Simpson Lane in Marysville. When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the victim suffering in serious injuries. Paramedics later pronounced the woman dead. The  Yuba County Sheriff’s Department recently identified the deceased as Amery Sweany, of Chico.

According to the article published online, an autopsy revealed the cause of death as blunt force trauma. Investigators believed a car struck the victim then fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect involved in the horrible crash.

Detectives handling the case continue to gather information to determine several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident on Simpson Lane in Marysville.
