Bicyclist Injured in Amesti Hit-and-Run Crash Green Valley and Dutchman
AMESTI, CA (November 28, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Green Valley and Dutchman roads in Amesti.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the incident at about 2:05 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Amesti. The driver hit the cyclist at the intersection of Green Valley and Dutchman roads.
Driver Hits Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Pinto Lake City Park. They found the victim lying in the bike lane as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then treated the bicyclist for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the rider and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Green Valley and Dutchman to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Amesti hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
