Amy Hernandez, 43; and Holly Patrick, 42, Injured in Ceres Hit-and-Run Crash
CERES, CA (January 18, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured Amy Hernandez and Holly Patrick on Central Avenue south of Ceres.
The California Highway Patrol identified the Modesto residents as two of the passengers in the wreck which took place on Sunday.
The incident happened when Amy Hernandez, 43; and Holly Patrick, 42, were riding as passengers in a Dodge Ram in Ceres. At the same time, a Nissan sedan was going north on Central Avenue.
CHP said the pickup then drove out of an orchard and into the path of the Nissan. In the process, the sedan collided with the center of the left side of the Dodge.
2 Cars Collide
The Ram came to a rest on top of the Nissan, just north of Grayson Road. The Modesto Bee wrote that the collision on January 16 at around 4:50 a.m.
Amy Hernandez sustained minor injuries while Holly Patrick obtained a laceration on her head as a result of the crash. Paramedics arrived treated them at the scene.
A third passenger in the pickup, 45-year-old Modesto resident John Johnson, ended up unharmed. Medical personnel rushed the driver of the sedan to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the man driving the Dodge did not stop to render aid and fled the area. The cause of the Ceres hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
