Amy Saetern, 21, Drunk During Car Accident on E. 21st Street Thursday
Merced, CA (April 2, 2021) – Police arrested 21-year-old Amy Saetern in relation with an injury traffic collision on E. 21st Street Thursday evening.
According to Your Central Valley, Amy Saetern was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling in Merced. Officials determined there were two juvenile passenger in the car, a 3-year-old and a 4-year-old.
The news article published online indicated the vehicle crashed in the 300 block of E. 21st Street. It remained unclear whether other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Shortly after 8:20 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location and rendered aid to the possible victims. Authorities later confirmed the two children suffered minor head injuries and facial trauma as a result of the crash. For this reason, paramedics transported the patient to an area hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, officers said Amy Saetern appeared unharmed after the wreck. Following the investigation, police arrested the woman and booked her into the Merced County Jail on charges of felony DUI and felony child endangerment.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
