Amy Carol Thomas, 45, ID’d as Suspect in Napa DUI Crash on Imola Avenue
NAPA, CA (July 21, 2021) – Authorities detained Amy Thomas after a DUI crash on Imola Avenue near Cabot Way in Napa.
Police determined that the 45-year-old Napa woman was under the influence when the wreck took place on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident began when Amy Carol Thomas was driving an SUV westbound on West Imola Avenue in Napa. At the same time, a van was going east.
Napa police said Amy Thomas then went across the median and struck the van. The two crashed west of Cabot Way.
Van Driver Injured in Collision
The van spun out of control and ended up facing the wrong way. The Napa Valley Register wrote that the the accident occurred on July 20 at about 3:59 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the driver of the van who sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police soon arrested Amy Thomas on suspicion of DUI causing injury. The Napa DUI crash is still under investigation.
