ANAHEIM, California (October 5, 2016) — Police are investigating whether the driver of a car that crashed into a tree Tuesday night was driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
The alleged high-speed crash took place about 11 p.m. last night in the 1400 block of North Placentia Avenue.
The white Lexus was occupied by three men in their 20s. The driver and one of the passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The second passenger was not hurt in the crash.

There were 165 people killed and 13,837 injured in 2013 Orange County traffic accidents, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide integrated Traffic Report. In Anaheim, 18 people were killed and 2,244 were injured in crashes in 2013, including six fatal DUI crashes and 188 injury DUI crashes, the CHP statistics report said.
