Fatally Injured Child ID’d as Salvador Carreno Damaso
ANAHEIM, California (August 14, 2016) – Two separate traffic collisions on 91 Freeway killed a 10-year-old boy and sent nine people to hospitals Sunday morning, according to The Orange County Register.
The accidents were reported at 7:13 a.m. on the eastbound 91 Freeway at East Street.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said the first 2-vehicle crash took place in the carpool and another lane while the other wreck, involving two more cars, occurred in two other lanes.
A statement released by the Orange County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased child as Salvador Carreno Damaso, of Anaheim. He succumbed to injuries at the UC Irvine Medical Center.
Coroner’s office indicated in the news released that Carreno Damaso was a passenger in car involved in a collision with a truck.
Meanwhile, the names and condition of the other victims were not immediately available. It is unknown whether the two incidents were related. The investigation is ongoing.
