Major Injury Collision on Santa Ana (5) Freeway Wednesday
Anaheim, CA (May 26, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 5, also known as Santa Ana Freeway, Wednesday morning.
Initial records indicated the wreck involved a big rig truck and a passenger vehicle. For reasons still unclear, the two vehicles collided on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Lincoln Avenue. The force from the impact caused the truck to veer off the roadway, and land onto the embankment.
2 Badly Hurt After Car and Truck Accident in Anaheim, May 26
Shortly before 8 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the accident scene and rendered aid to all possible victims. After the evaluation, officials confirmed at least two occupants in the passenger vehicle sustained major injuries from the incident. Authorities continue to withhold the names of the injured parties pending confirmation.
Several factors surrounding the big rig and car accident in Anaheim remained unclear. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
