5 Injured in Anaheim Bus Crash Near Harbor and Disney Near Disneyland
ANAHEIM, CA (May 27, 2023) – Several were injured after a bus crash near Harbor Boulevard and Disney Way outside the Disneyland in Anaheim.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the wreck on May 26 shortly after 10 p.m.
The incident happened when a Lexus sedan was making a right turn from a left turn lane outside the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim.
For an unknown reason, the car slammed into an Orange County Transportation Authority bus carrying passengers. The two crashed near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Disney Way.
OCTA Bus and Car Collide
The driver of the bus was traveling at about 10-15 mph before hitting the brakes and colliding with the sedan. The impact caused an elderly passenger to fall on the public transit bus floor.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of five people hurt. At least three people sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patients to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
The Lexus obtained minor damage to the right passenger and the bus came to a stop with minor damage to its front left bumper.
Officers forced the area of Harbor and Disney to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Anaheim bus crash is still under investigation.to its
