Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on State Route 91 in Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (August 16, 2024) — A car versus motorcycle accident happened on the Riverside 91 Freeway Friday in Anaheim, just west of the Orange 57 Freeway.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on westbound SR-91 at 12:33 p.m. on August 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a grey Infiniti sedan collided in the HOV lane of State Route 91. Some good Samaritans stopped to help and apparently intimidated the woman driver in the Infiniti who went back to her car to remain safe.
Paramedics responded to help the injured motorcyclist and at least one tow truck removed the bike from the roadway, but it’s unknown if the car was drivable.
A SigAlert was issued around 1 p.m. for roughly 30 minutes for the HOV lane due to the crash.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
