Anaheim crash 91 Freeway Imperial Highway
1 Killed, 4 Injured in Anaheim Crash on 91 Freeway Near Imperial Highway
ANAHEIM, CA (August 21, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured several others on the 91 Freeway near Imperial Highway in Anaheim.
According to an article published by the Orange County Register, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 6 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Anaheim. They crashed on the eastbound 91 Freeway, just west of Imperial Highway.
The incident happened at a high rate of speed in the FasTrak lanes. One of the cars, a black pickup truck, obtained major front-end damage.
2 Cars Collide
One occupant ended up ejected from the pickup truck upon impact. Firefighters soon arrived and pronounced that individual dead at the scene.
The other vehicle, a white Toyota Corolla, came to a stop with heavy damage to the driver’s side. An adult and three minors riding the Toyota ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Paramedics rushed all four patients to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway to shut down near Imperial following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Anaheim crash is still under investigation.
