1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Anaheim Crash on Eastbound 91 Freeway
ANAHEIM, CA (May 22, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and seriously injured another on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and On Scene TV, the tragic accident occurred late Thursday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:50 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided on the eastbound 91 Freeway. They crashed near Raymond Avenue in Anaheim on May 20.
Wrong-Way Collision Near Raymond Avenue
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. Another party sustained major injuries due to the impact of the crash.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded people remain unreleased.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that one of the drivers involved was traveling the wrong-way when it slammed into the other car. They forced the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway to close following the wreck.
The fatal Anaheim crash is still under investigation.
