The CHP received a call stating that a body was in the center divider of the freeway about 6:42 a.m. this morning. Metro Net Fire Authority sent paramedics as a precaution to the scene. the Orange County Coroner was then sent out to retrieve the body.
Police issued a SigAlert as they investigated the scene to try and piece together what happened. It appears the person was struck by a vehicle or may have fell out of one, but without a vehicle on the scene it will take some investigating to determine liability. Police will also try to determine if this was a homicide.
