ANAHEIM, California (January 6, 2017) — A woman identified as Maureen Meza, 26, of Whittier, was the victim who died in a collision Friday morning on I-5 north at Euclid Avenue.
The crash was reported about 4:52 a.m. between an SUV and a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the SUV confirmed to have been Maureen Meza sadly did not survive the collision as she was pronounced deceased at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
It was not specified whether or the tractor driver was injured.
Per the Orange Coroner, California Highway Patrol officials are manning the investigation and currently looking into liability as the sequence of events that took place remain unclear.
