Motorcycle Crash Causes Delays on I-5 in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 10, 2025) — A motorcycle versus car accident on southbound I-5 Freeway near Brookhurst Street in Anaheim caused significant traffic delays Thursday morning.
The two-vehicle crash, reported just after 8:30 a.m. on April 10th, involved a white Kia and a motorcycle, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The motorcyclist was found conscious and speaking with emergency responders, though their exact injuries have not been detailed.
A SigAlert was issued around 8:35 a.m., affecting the HOV and #1 lanes for an estimated 30 minutes as emergency crews responded to the scene and a tow truck was dispatched.
Witnesses reported seeing the rider down in the center divider following the collision. CHP coordinated with Metro Net for medical assistance and a rotation tow was called for the motorcycle. Freeway Service Patrol has since closed their incident response, indicating that traffic is beginning to clear.
