ANAHEIM, California (August 10, 2016) — A school bus carrying passengers suffered a tire blowout and may have collided with a black pickup truck on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway near the Disneyland Drive on ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 7:52 a.m. this morning in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes. The pickup truck crashed into the guard rail and was straddling it. The school bus was over on the right shoulder after the crash. One witness told CHP officers a blue truck swerved when the school bus suffered the blown out tire. It was unknown for certain whether the bus caused the crash, but police are investigating.
Paramedics were sent to the scene to help anyone who was hurt in the crash.
