ANAHEIM, California (December 30, 2016) — A 78-year-old woman died Thursday night when she was struck by a car on East Street at Wilhelmina Street, according to a report by the Anaheim Police Department.
The crash took place about 5:49 p.m. last night. The 81-year-old driver of a 2003 Mercedes-Benz E500 was traveling northbound on East Street when she struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, but she did of her injuries there.
Police are investigating the crash to determine liability, but they do not suspect drugs or alcohol being factors.
