Driver Suspected of Drunk Driving Arrested
BURBANK, Calif. (July 2, 2024) – Anahid Sarkissian, 76, of Burbank, died in a pedestrian accident involving a suspected DUI driver last Friday on East Olive Avenue in Burbank.
The suspect, a 64-year-old Vincent Carnegie, of Burbank, was arrested and later released on $100,000 bail, according to the Burbank Police Department. He is due in court on July 24th.
The traffic accident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28th at Olive Avenue and Glenoaks Boulevard.
The elderly woman was found with major injuries in the alley located in the 400 block of East Olive Avenue.
Unfortunately, the 76-year-old Burbank woman did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Vincent Carnegie was booked into the Burbank City Jail and faces charges of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
