ANDERSON, SHASTA COUNTY (May 16, 2016)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury rollover crash was reported Monday afternoon on the southbound Interstate 5 freeway at the Riverside Avenue off-ramp.
The collision occurred at roughly 1:06 p.m. when the driver of a black vehicle lost control at the Riverside Avenue off-ramp and into a ditch off the side of the road.
One of the two parties inside the vehicle was ejected and suffered a very serious facial injury.
The other party remained inside and was also badly injured needing rescue fire team members to remove the victim from the vehicle.
Both injured patients were rushed to Mercy Medical Center and were both last said to have been in critical condition.
No other information has been released at this time.
