2 Killed in Anderson Crash on Interstate 5 Near Balls Ferry Road
ANDERSON, CA (November 25, 2022) – A crash killed two people on the Interstate 5 near Balls Ferry Road in Anderson.
According to the KRCRTV News and Action News Now, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 5:30 p.m.
The incident happened on November 24 when a motorcyclist struck a deer on the northbound Interstate 5 near Balls Ferry Road in Anderson. The rider lost control of their bike and slide into the center median.
A good Samaritan driving in the area stopped in the center median and got out of her car to help the biker. At the same time, a Toyota Camry approached the two.
Car Hits Motorcyclist and Good Samaritan
The driver of the Toyota failed to see the victims in the roadway. The California Highway Patrol said in the process the Camry hit them.
Paramedics arrived and soon pronounced the motorcyclist and the good Samaritan dead at the scene. The names of the deceased parties have not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down for a time near Balls Ferry following the incident. The cause of the fatal Anderson crash is still under investigation.
