Father, Son, 13, Killed in Crash; Suspected DUI Driver in Jail
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (November 3, 2022) – Andrea Bullo, 60, a co-owner of Moonshadows restaurant in Malibu, and his 13-year-old son, both died Tuesday after a suspected DUI driver hit their car on Mulholland Drive in Woodland Hills.
The fiery, two-vehicle crash occurred about 9 p.m. on Nov. 1st in the 23100 block of West Mulholland Drive, near Valmar Road, according to ABC 7 News.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the crash scene where they located a vintage, red Ford Mustang and a Toyota Camry with front-end damage.
An eastbound Toyota Camry traveling at high speed crashed into the Mustang and the two vehicles caught on fire. Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to extinguish the flames, but both Andrea Bullo and his teenage son died at the scene.
Kevin Gonzales, 21, who was driving the Toyota, survived the cash with minor injuries. Authorities believe he was driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Kevin Gonzales on suspicion of two counts of murder and he is being held on $4 million bail.
The cause of the crash and liability will be confirmed by police.
