THERMAL, Riverside County (November 10, 2016) – Pedestrian Andres Nunez Ayon, 54, of Thermal, died in a collision with a car at Harrison Street and 70th Avenue on Thursday, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at approximately 5:20 p.m. The car was described as a maroon Ford Taurus.
A statement released by Riverside County Fire Department online said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The press release also mentioned that a person from the vehicle was taken to an area hospital with injuries considered as minor.
Meanwhile, CHP’s dispatch included that possible multiple cars were involved in the deadly accident although no clarification has been made.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
