DUI Suspected in Fatal Crash at Manning and Englehart Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (July 2, 2024) — Angel Reyes, 25, of Dinuba, and his passenger, Andres Rivero Jr., 36, of Reedley, both died Saturday night in a crash near Reedley at Englehart and Manning avenues.
The two men were traveling together in a Chevrolet Malibu sedan when their vehicle collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Dept. PIO and the California Highway Patrol.
Police reported the 25-year-old man was driving the Malibu southbound on Englehart Avenue when he allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign. The car drove direction into the path of the oncoming westbound pickup truck traveling on Manning Avenue.
Both men from the Malibu, Angel Reyes and Andres Rivero Jr., died at the scene and the occupants from the pickup truck survived with minor injuries.
Finally, CHP officials are investigating the crash and suspect that alcohol was a factor for the driver from the Malibu who died.
