Fabio Castro, 22, Hit and Killed by Car at Hills Hotel Parking Lot in Laguna Hills
LAGUNA HILLS (July 21, 2020) – Authorities detained the alleged hit-and-run driver in a crash that killed a pedestrian in a parking lot last week on Thursday.
Police determined that Andrew Austin Arbuckle, 34, did not stop to render aid and then fled the scene following the accident on July 16.
Officers said a pickup truck driven by Arbuckle struck a man in the parking lot of the Hills Hotel. The hotel is located at 25205 La Paz Road.
Orange County Fire Authority officials along with the paramedics responded and attended to the victim left lying on the ground as a result of the crash.

Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital, where he later died. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as 22-year-old Fabio R. Castro, of Atascadero.
According to reports by The Orange County Register and My News LA, the tragic incident took place at about 9:15 p.m.
Meanwhile, deputies found Arbuckle and arrested him on Saturday in Mission Viejo. They charged the Mission Viejo resident with felony hit-and-run resulting in death with a bail set at $200,000.
Authorities also accused him of a misdemeanor count of driving with a license that was suspended or revoked for a DUI. The investigation is ongoing.
