Man, 25, Dies in Traffic Collision at Kiernan Avenue and Tully Road
Modesto, CA (October 7, 2021) – Andrew Avalos, a 25-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a car crash that occurred in the area of Kiernan Avenue and Tully Road.
On Thursday morning, Andrew Avalos was driving a 1973 Datsun coupe traveling behind a Honda sedan. Both vehicles were heading west on Kiernan Avenue.
The Modesto Bee News reported the Honda slowed for a red light at Tully Road. Officials said the Andrew Avalos, however, failed to slow down and crashed into the back of the Honda.
According to the article published online, another westbound vehicle failed to stop in time and hit the back of the Datsun. The force from the impact ejected Andrew Avalos.

Rescue teams arrived at the location shortly after 4 a.m. Paramedics reportedly rendered aid to the driver of the Datsun. Due to their condition, an ambulance rushed the patient to Doctors Medical Center. The man later succumbed to his injuries and died. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Andrew Avalos.
Officials mentioned the other two drivers involved in the incident appeared unharmed.
Further investigation on the fatal car crash in Modesto is ongoing.
