Andrew Boyd, 23, Suspect in Injury Collision at East Washington Street at Lakeville Street Thursday
Petaluma, CA (May 1, 2021) – Police arrested 23-year-old Andrew Boyd in relation with a DUI car crash that occurred in the area of East Washington at Lakeville Street on April 29, Thursday.
According to Patch News, Andrew Boyd was driving a vehicle traveling on East Washington Street. When the motorist approached the intersection at Lakeville Street, Andrew Boyd slammed into the rear of another vehicle. The first collision took place shortly after 7 a.m.
Officials said Andrew Boyd opened the driver’s side door after the accident. Subsequently, a passing vehicle struck the door of Boyd.
At the moment, the make and model of the three cars involved in the collision remained undisclosed.

The article published online indicated a passenger in the first car struck from behind suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the conditions of other parties involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Investigators later determined Andrew Boyd, of Petaluma, was too impaired to safely operate a car. Police then arrested the man on suspicion of felony DUI.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
