San Bernardino Man, 26, Killed in Car Accident
FONTANA, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2022) — Andrew Muett, 26, of San Bernardino, died in a Fontana car accident early Sunday on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of Sierra Avenue.
The collision occurred about 3:15 a.m. on September 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP report and San Bernardino coroner report are not exactly the same. The CHP reported it was a solo crash and the coroner report states it was a pedestrian accident.
The CHP reported a driver in a red, 2-door Infiniti sedan reportedly overturned onto its roof in a solo crash, the CHP said. Police responded to the westbound lanes of the I-10 freeway and found one person who died from the crash. They do not mention if the person was from the vehicle or if they were a pedestrian.
However, the person suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead on scene about 3:29 a.m., police said.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner released the victim’s name on its website and stated he died in a pedestrian accident.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the crash may contact California Highway Patrol – Rancho Cucamonga Division.
