1 Dead, 2 Injured in Citrus Heights Crash
CITRUS HEIGHTS (October 9, 2018) – Andrey Tagintsev, 45, of Citrus Heights, died Tuesday night in a traffic accident involving three motorists on Greenback Lane, according to The Sacramento Bee and FOX 40 News.
The accident was reported about 6:30 p.m. near San Juan Avenue. The Sacramento coroner’s office listed the crash as a hit-and-run, but there were no further details.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to help those hurt, but sadly Tagintsev died at the scene.
Two people reportedly sustained minor injuries upon impact.
Meanwhile, Greenback Lane was closed between San Juan and Mariposa avenues for several hours as a result of the wreck. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Citrus Heights Accident Investigation
Police are piecing together evidence and will determine fault for this crash. At this time it appears that one of the involved motorists may have fled the scene without stopping. This person will likely face criminal charges as well as a possible civil lawsuit.
