Bicyclist Andy Welch Critically Injured in Rialto Hit-and-Run Accident
RIALTO (October 2, 2018) – A bicyclist was critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run accident along Bohnert Avenue on Friday, according to ABC 7 News.
The victim, Andy Welch, has been in a medically induced coma after the tragic incident on September 28.
As per the article, Welch was riding his bicycle west on Bohnert Avenue toward Linden Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle.

Welch was left lying on the road with severe injuries. He was immediately taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton where he underwent surgery to repair a rupture to his intestines.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
