Passenger, Driver Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 29 Sunday
Napa, CA (September 6, 2021) – Police arrested 23-year-old Angel Padilla-Moreno following DUI car crash that occurred on Highway 29 Sunday.
The Napa Valley Register News reported a CHP officer spotted a 2017 Honda Accord stopped on the right shoulder of Highway 29. The officer apparently pulled up behind the Honda to check on the occupants. However, the driver, later identified as Angel Padilla-Moreno, accelerated and drove away.
Per article published online the officer launched a pursuit on the suspicious vehicle.
Our sources indicated the Honda collided with another vehicle near the First Street interchange. The force from the impact caused the Honda to veer off the roadway; and hit two parked vehicles at a nearby storage facility.
Shortly after 2:43 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and found the Honda overturned. Responding paramedics rendered aid to Angel Padilla-Moreno, who sustained injuries from the incident.

Authorities said they continue to investigate the female driver for allegations of causing injury by driving under the influence, reckless driving, and violating his probation for a previous DUI-related arrest.
