Angela Cline, 31, ID’d as Suspect in Lompoc Fatal DUI Crash on Ocean Avenue
LOMPOC, CA (August 5, 2022) – Authorities detained Angela Cline after a DUI crash that killed a pedestrian in Lompoc.
Police determined that the 31-year-old woman was under the influence of alcohol when the fatal accident occurred on Saturday.
The incident happened when Angela Rose Cline was driving along West Ocean Avenue in the city of Lompoc. She then struck Raquel Zapata in the the 600 block of the road.
The KEYT News and Noozhawk wrote that the collision took place on July 30 at around 1:49 a.m. Firefighters arrived and found the victim down on the side of the roadway.

The 42-year-old Lompoc woman sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she died.
Meanwhile, police located Angela Cline nearby and arrested her for DUI bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Family members set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral costs of Raquel Zapata. Officers forced a stretch of Ocean Avenue to shut down for a time following the incident.
The Lompoc DUI crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 805-736-2341.
