ANTIOCH, Calif. (July 7, 2023) — Angela Fierro, 20, of Antioch. died Thursday in a rollover crash at Lone Tree Way and Clayburn Road in Antioch.
The young woman was riding in one of two cars involved in the 4:50 p.m. crash on July 6th at the Antioch intersection, according to East Bay Times.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision between a black Jeep Grand Cherokee and a white sedan. However, police are investigating the crash and at least one witness told them the Jeep was speeding prior to the wreck, KRON 4 reports.
Angela Fierro, a passenger in the Jeep, was identified by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s coroner. She was thrown out of the Jeep as it overturned multiple times during the crash. Sadly, she suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, a the driver of Jeep suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital as a precaution, police said.
A driver in the white car experienced chest pain after the crash and was taken to a hospital, police said. The car had moderate front-end damage after the crash and required a tow truck.
