Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman Near Genesee Avenue
University City, CA (March 29, 2022) – Angelina Arizaga, a 31-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway on March 17.
The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported Arizaga was seen walking on the shoulder of the freeway near Genesee Avenue. At approximately 11:30 p.m., an oncoming motorist failed to notice and struck the woman.

Shortly after the incident, emergency crews arrived at the site. First responders found a body lying on the ground. Paramedics attempted to save the pedestrian but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and eventually died. The Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Angelina Arizaga.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the unfortunate event appeared unharmed after the crash.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident on Interstate 5 in University City.
