Woman Killed in Hit-and-run Crash is Identified
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2023) — Angelina Parsons, 32, died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway in Sacramento.
The deadly crash occurred around 4:15 a.m. on August 27th, just south of Garden Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was located on the right shoulder of the freeway and died at the scene, ABC 10 News reports.
Authorities believe the woman was attempting to cross the northbound exit only lane of the freeway when a vehicle struck her and continued driving. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 2016 to 2018 Chevrolet Malibu sedan or a similar vehicle. The car would have front-end damage from the collision.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as Angelina Irene Parson, 32.
