Clovis Woman Killed in Crash at Church and Clovis Avenues
FRESNO, Calif. (Sept. 20, 2019) — Angelita Armenta of Clovis has died in a collision Saturday at Church Avenue and Clovis Avenue in Fresno.
The elderly woman was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck by a driver who allegedly ran through a stop sign on westbound Church Avenue, according to the Fresno Bee.
The Toyota reportedly went through the stop sign about 12:14 p.m. and stuck the other vehicle occupied by Armenta and three other people. The victim’s vehicle had been traveling southbound on Clovis Avenue, police said.
Paramedics transported both drivers and three passengers to Community Regional Medical Center. Armenta died two days later from her injuries at the hospital, police said.
The other four adults hurt in the crash suffered non-life threatening injuries.
