Pedestrian Killed Ingraham Street Near Perez Cove Way
San Diego, Calif. (August 31, 2021) – Angelita Van Roon, 34, died in a pedestrian accident on Ingraham Street Saturday morning, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
The woman attempted to cross Ingraham Street just south of Perez Cove Way on August 28th, according to police. An oncoming vehicle struck the pedestrian and subsequently, two other vehicles hit the victim. She was apparently dragged behind one of them in the Mission Bay Park area.
Woman Killed in Hit-and-run Crash on Ingraham Street
Shortly after 4:15 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics sadly pronounced the 34-year-old woman dead. Investigators mentioned the pedestrian was outside of the crosswalk when the collision happened. In addition, the female party apparently climbed over a concrete barrier before crossing Ingraham Street.
Authorities mentioned the first driver stayed at the scene. However, the other two motorists fled the scene.
Meanwhile, the San Diego Medical Examiner identified Angelita Van Roon as the woman who died.
The San Diego Police is the agency handling the investigation of the deadly pedestrian accident on Ingraham Street.
