ANGWIN (February 13, 2017)- According to the Napa Valley Register, a woman identified as Lauren Spencer, 33, of Angwin, was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver Friday evening.
Police officials reported that the collision occurred on Howell Mountain Road and Hardin Lane.
Esteban Yin, 20, of Northridge, was the driver of a vehicle who struck Spencer as she crossed the road inside the crosswalk.
Yin failed to stop initially and fled the scene before returning approximately 25 minutes later before being arrested.
The 33-year-old woman was badly injured and rushed to a hospital. Her condition remains unclear at this time.
California Highway Patrol officials who are investigating the incident did not specify whether or not Yin was under the influence.
