2 Hurt After Collision Near Pozzolan Road Tuesday
Palmdale, CA (February 4, 2022) – Two people, including 52-year-old Anita Carlon, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on U.S. Highway 395 on February 1.
The Plumas News published an article online reporting Carlon, of Janesville, was behind the wheel of a Silver 2017 GMC Yukon. The woman was traveling north on the highway directly behind a White 2009 Freightliner BCM2 box van.
When the vehicles approached the area near Pozzolan Road, a southbound Red 2021 Toyota Corolla veered into the opposite lane. The Toyota ended up driving into the path of the Freightliner.
Our sources indicated the Toyota crashed into the front left side of the Freightliner. Following the collision, the Toyota continued driving and eventually hit the left front of the GMC.
Shortly after 7:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found Anita Carlon with injuries as a result of the incident. Paramedics rendered aid to the woman, but it remained unclear if she needed further care at the hospital.
Authorities added the driver of the Toyota also sustained injuries in the crash. The name of the motorist, and their condition at this time have not been discussed thus far.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the traffic accident on Highway 395 in Palmdale.
