Wrongful Death Lawyer
A forensic examination of the truck and the two cars involved, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will be made to help investigators determine the liability in the accident. Other potential factors will be looked into as well including whether or not the drivers of the big rig and the Chrysler were under the influence at the time of the accident, whether or not they were distracted, operating the vehicle recklessly, or traveling over the speed limit prior to impact. Each of these factors plus several others will be assessed allowing police officials to draw up a final conclusion.
Once the investigation process is over and it proves that negligence or wrong doing played a role in the fatal incident, the family members of Ms. Anita Montiel may have the right to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against the at-fault party. The claim will include a recompense for the funeral costs, loss of future income, and loss of love and companionship.
Those injured and proven not responsible for the tragic crash will be entitled to a personal injury lawsuit seeking a compensation for hospital bills, lost wages and pain and suffering.
